Live Online Creative Workshops for Friends in Different Cities

Plan a shared clay-making session across locations and time zones. Every participant needs the specified clay and tools.

A remote craft project gives people in different places something physical to make together. The shared process matters more than producing identical results.

Agree on materials in advance

Every participant needs the specified clay and tools. Last-minute substitutions may lead to different drying or curing outcomes.

Air-dry and polymer projects have different curing or baking requirements, and they are not automatically food-safe, waterproof, flame-safe or suitable for cookware. Always follow the exact material manufacturer's instructions.

Set up the camera and lighting

Place a phone or laptop so the instructor's view is easy to follow and your hands can work without blocking the screen.

Coordinate time zones

Confirm the advertised start time and its time zone for each participant. Send joining instructions and any supply list beforehand.

An online clay workshop is a live guided making experience, but material requirements depend on the specific session. Air-dry clay, polymer clay and kiln-fired ceramic clay have different properties and cannot be substituted without checking instructions.

Put the idea into practice

At Color Cocktail Factory, the corresponding activity page is the best place to verify sessions for the available Chicago, Eugene, or online location listed for the specific session. Select the correct studio or online format and check the live booking calendar, ticket unit, current price, age policy, and included supplies. If your project uses clay, kiln firing and glazing may be separately priced; check finishing and pickup terms before paying. Schedules can differ by location and over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are kits shipped automatically?

Do not assume so. Review the specific registration details for materials and shipping options.

Do I need a kiln at home?

Check the current session's materials and finishing plan. Air-dry clay is not equivalent to fired ceramic clay.

Does a class ticket include a shipped kit?

Do not assume it does. Confirm required materials, shipping, and time zones with the current listing.
