Unlike a single-class experience voucher, a dollar-value gift certificate applies its exact dollar balance toward eligible Chicago — Pilsen workshops. A dollar-value certificate only covers a full workshop when its balance is at least the advertised class price. If a class costs more than the certificate, the recipient simply pays the difference at checkout; if it costs less, the unused balance stays on the code for next time.

Complete checkout securely through Acuity (Square or PayPal). Acuity immediately displays your 8-character redemption code and a printable certificate view on the confirmation page, and emails the receipt and code to the buyer’s email address so you can print or forward it when ready.
3. They choose an available date and redeem their code.

Optional Firing & Glazing
Your workshop includes the instruction, clay, and tools needed for the experience. Firing and glazing are optional and are not included in the class price. At the end of your session, you can choose whether to have your piece professionally finished.

In Acuity Scheduling, gift certificates redeem toward the base appointment type price and do not automatically bundle variable per-piece kiln finishing tiers. During class, makers can choose to take unfired air-dry clay home the same day at no extra cost, or select kiln finishing per piece: in-studio options are $10 bisque firing, $20 regular solid-color glaze, $35 specialty glaze, or $50 gold glaze (when available), while Acuity checkout also offers an optional combined add-on, “Finish My Piece: Glaze + Kiln Firing”, at $25 for 1 piece (ID #6000237) or $50 for 2 pieces (ID #7380494). Because piece counts and glaze tiers vary by guest and studio staff confirm in-studio finishing selections at the end of class, we do not sell an unverified “unlimited finishing” package. Do I need to choose a class date when buying a gift?
No. You never have to guess their schedule. When you purchase a gift certificate, Acuity generates an 8-character redemption code with no pre-selected date. Your recipient browses our live calendar and books a session date and time that works for them.
How does the recipient redeem their gift certificate?
They visit our booking calendar (colorcocktailfactory.as.me or any workshop page on our site), choose their studio and an open class date, click 'Redeem Coupon, Package, or Gift Certificate' at checkout, and enter their 8-character code. Acuity applies the certificate balance directly to their reservation.
Which studio and classes are covered?
Studio eligibility is strictly separated between Chicago (1142 W. 18th Street, Pilsen) and Eugene (3295 Cross Street, Eugene, OR). Does a dollar-value gift card guarantee a full class, or might there be a balance due?
Dollar-value certificates apply their exact dollar amount as monetary credit toward eligible workshops. In Chicago, a $50 Gift Card covers one $39–$45 per-person class (such as Paint Pottery at $39, Wine Glass Painting at $40, or Beginner Wheel, Candle Making, Terrarium, or Hanging Turkish Lamp at $45) with $5–$11 remaining on the code. Pottery Date Night for Two covers two guests sharing one pottery wheel ($55 for two in Chicago; $50 for two in Eugene). In Acuity, a single Date Night reservation slot automatically admits two people—your recipient books just 1 appointment slot for the couple, not a quantity of 2.
How is the gift certificate delivered? Can I print a card or add a personal message?
Immediately after checkout via Square or PayPal, Acuity displays your 8-character certificate code on the confirmation screen (with a 'View gift certificate' printable view) and emails the receipt and code to the buyer's email address. Because Acuity does not automatically schedule future email delivery to a separate recipient address, you can forward the code directly or use our Printable Gift Certificate & Personal Message builder right on this page to print or save a personalized studio gift card.
Do gift certificates expire, and what happens to unused balances?
Our Acuity gift certificates do not expire (expiration is unset/null in Acuity). For dollar-value certificates, if a recipient books a workshop that costs less than their certificate value, the unused dollar balance automatically remains on the same 8-character code for future bookings.
